Biography[]
Samantha Ann Mulder was the daughter of William Mulder and Teena Mulder. She was the younger half-sister of Fox Mulder and lived at her family's home at Chillmark, Massachusetts. Depending upon various sources, Samantha was born either in January, 1964 or November, 1965, though most sources appear to make the November, 1965 the most credible of the two dates.
William Mulder worked for the State Department and was associated with a secret society known as the Syndicate. The Syndicate were aware of the existence of extra-terrestrials and in fact, had formed a covenant with them, which involved the development of human/alien cross-hybridization. To insure the loyalty of the Syndicate members, the aliens demanded that each family give up a member of their own family. William Mulder was going to give up his son, Fox Mulder, but Fox was actually the child of William's superior - the mysterious Cigarette Smoking Man. The Cigarette Smoking Man forced William to give up Samantha instead.
Fox Mulder was present the day that Samantha was abducted in 1973. He was 12-years-old at the time. Fox was so traumatized by this, that he spent the rest of his life trying to find out what had happened to her. As a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Fox Mulder's actions became intricately connected with those of the Syndicate and their alien benefactors.
