Sam Hamm is a film and television producer and screenwriter. He is best known for writing the screenplay for the 1989 superhero film, Batman, a job that earned him a temporary position as a writer for DC Comics' related title Detective Comics, which featured the character of Batman.

In sci-fi, Sam Hamm worked on the FOX Network television series M.A.N.T.I.S., which he co-created with Sam Raimi. Hamm was credited as an executive producer on all twenty-two episodes of the show.
