Salem Center is a community located in the town of North Salem in Westchester County, New York. In speculative fiction, Salem Center is home to the superhero team, the X-Men, who live and work out of the mansion home of the founder, Professor Charles Xavier at 1407 Graymalkin Lane. Professor Xavier renovated his family's home into a school designed to train mutants dubbed Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.
