S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters could refer to any number of locations featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics and its related adaptive media projects. It is the base of operations for S.H.I.E.L.D., which is the premiere defense agency and espionage organization of the Marvel Universe.

The most dominant headquarters used by S.H.I.E.L.D., is actually the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, which is a flying mobile fortress, which often serves as the organization's command center. One of its more notable land-based locations was an underground facility in New York City. The street-level facade was actually that of a barber shop.

In the continuity of the Ultimate Marvel line of titles, S.H.I.E.L.D. was based out of a floating platform facility known as the Triskelion. The Triskelion was also used in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and became a key setting in the 2014 film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is part of the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.

On Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the core team utilized a mobile command center, which they referred to as "The Bus" Following the destruction of this aircraft, they resorted to utilizing a variety of different safe-houses, all of which had been secretly set up by Nick Fury, many of which, without the authorization or even knowledge of his superiors.

One of these facilities, Fury Secret Base 8, colloquially known as "The Playground", was a holdover facility from the group's predecessor, the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR). Following the infiltration and subsequent defeat of Hydra, S.H.I.E.L.D. became a public face to the international community again and The Playground became their central command center.
