Doctor Rudy Wells is a fictional character featured in the Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman television programs. He was introduced in the 1973 pilot telemovie The Six Million Dollar Man where he was originally played by Martin Balsam. In the two following movies, Six Million Dollar Man: Solid Gold Kidnapping and Six Million Dollar Man: Wine, Women and War, he was played by Alan Oppenheimer.
For the regular series, Doctor Rudy Wells was re-introduced in the premiere episode of season three of The Six Million Dollar Man, "The Return of the Bionic Woman" where he was played Martin E. Brooks. Martin E. Brooks was a billed character in both series, though he was often presented as a supporting character. He appeared in 44 episodes of both The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman as well as three related telemovies that aired sometime following the discontinuation of both programs; The Return of the Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman, Bionic Showdown: The Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman and Bionic Ever After.
