Ruby Knowby is a fictional demon known as a "Dark One", and a recurring antagonist featured in the Evil Dead multimedia franchise. She is associated with the Ash vs Evil Dead television series on Starz and was played by actress Lucy Lawless. She first appeared in the finale episode of season two titled "Second Coming". She was a primary antagonist in season three of the series.
Biography[]
The being who came to be known as Ruby Knowby was a Candarian demon and one of the Dark Ones. She assumed the form of Ruby Knowby, a sister to Annie Knowby and the daughter of Raymond and Henrietta Knowby. In the original timeline, Ruby Knowby turned against her own kind and sided with the forces of good to defeat the possessing entities known as Deadites. However, in a restructured timeline, which branched off from the regular timeline in 1982, Ruby Knowby never redeemed herself, and in fact, murdered her counterpart from the original timeline.
