Roxann Dawson is an American actress, director and TV producer. She is best known for playing the role of half-Klingon/half-human Starfleet engineer B'Elanna Torres on the UPN television series Star Trek: Voyager. As B'Elanna, Dawson appeared in all 170 episodes of the series. For the first half of her run on the show, she was credited under the name Roxann Biggs-Dawson. She married casting director Eric Dawson in 1994.
Roxann is also known for her work behind the camera. She made her directorial debut in the 1999 episode of Voyager, "Riddles". She also directed the 2001 episode "Workforce (Part 2)". From 2001 to 2004, Dawson directed ten episodes of the spin-off series Star Trek: Enterprise beginning with the season one episode, "The Andorian Incident". In the season two episode "Dead Stop", which she also directed, she provided the voice for a repair station computer in an uncredited behind-the-scenes appearance.
Outside of Star Trek, Dawson has directed episodes of various television programs including Crossing Jordan, Cold Case and the NBC series Heroes. In 2010, she directed the "End of Line" episode of Caprica.
