Rodger is a fictional teenage partier and a supporting character featured in the Night of the Demons film series. He appeared in the original Night of the Demons movie where he was played by actor Alvin Alexis.
Biography[]
Rodger was a young black boy, who grew up the son of a preacher in the town of Mathisville in the 1980s. Due to his upbringing, Rodger did not truck with the supernatural. In October of 1988, he was invited to attend a Halloween party hosted by Angela Franklin, which was being held at an old abandoned funeral home known as Hull House. Rodger accompanied friends Stooge and Helen and dressed up as a pirate.
During the party, Angela procured a floor-length mirror and decided to hold a séance before it to view the past lives of everyone in the room. Rodger wanted no part of it and kept his back turned to the group during the séance. Rodger's fears proved to be accurate, as the séance resulted in summoning demonic forces that could only manifest on Halloween night. One by one, the demons began possessing each member of the party.
Eventually, only he and a girl named Judy Cassidy remained. They managed to make it outside, and Rodger scaled the tall brick wall by pulling himself up with a dangling piece of barb wire. He succeeded in pulling Judy over the top just as the rays of the morning sun rose and destroyed all of the demons. Rodger and Judy then walked home.
