Robot Ninja is an American independent feature film of the science fiction and superhero fantasy genres. It was written and directed by J.R. Bookwalter. It was produced by Gerardfilm and the Suburban Tempe Company and premiered direct-to-video in the United States on December 4th, 1989. The premise of the film centers around comic book artist Leonard Miller, played by Michael Todd, who becomes disenfranchised when television producer Stanley Kane wants to adapt his Robot Ninja comic book as a watered down television series. With the aid of scientist friend Doctor Hubert Goodknight, Leonard Miller is outfitted with an actual Robot Ninja costume and goes out to fight a criminal gang of rapists.
