RoboCop is an ongoing American comic book series of the science fiction genre. It was published by Marvel Comics and based on the 1987 feature film RoboCop, directed by Paul Verhoeven. The first comic book series began publication in March, 1990 and ran for a total of twenty-three issues. The series featured futuristic cyborg Alex J. Murphy as the superhumanly enhanced RoboCop.
