Hard Time on Planet Earth: Stranger in a Strange Land
Robert Mandel is a film and television director. He directed the "Stranger in a Strange Land" episode of Hard Time on Planet Earth in 1989. He also directed the pilot episode of The X-Files in 1993 and the television movie Special Report: Journey to Mars in 1996. He was hired to direct the 1999 movie The Rage: Carrie 2, which involved a teenage girl with telekinesis, but Mandel left the set due to creative differences.
