Richard Janus is a fictional comic book super-villain who goes by the code name of Nega-Man. He is featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics and is associated with the Fantastic Four line of titles. He first appeared in Fantastic Four #107 in February, 1971.
Biography[]
Richard Janus was a scientist and a contemporary of Reed Richards. While working on an experiment involving negative energy, Janus was exposed to this energy, which separated him into different people, one of whom was the more dominant Nega-Man.
Janus, under the control of Nega-Man, entered the Negative Zone where he aligned himself with would-be alien conqueror, Annihilus. Nega-Man offered to help Annihilus enter the Earth dimension, whereupon both villains came into conflict with the Fantastic Four.
