"End of the World As We Know It" is the eighth episode of season one of the science fiction comedy series Resident Alien. It was directed by Shannon Kohli with a teleplay written by Christian Taylor. It first aired on Syfy on Wednesday, March 17th, 2021 at 9:00 pm (EST).

Plot[]

Harry, Asta, and D'Arcy all fall into the crevasse, and Harry injures his leg. D'Arcy attempts to climb out of the icy ravine. As he weakens from the fall, Harry's true visage begins to manifest, and Asta learns the truth about his alien heritage. Harry emphasizes that he needs to find his "radio", but doesn't reveal that he is actually talking about his Doomsday device. D'Arcy gets to the top and is able to pull Harry and Asta out of the crevasse. Asta covers Harry's face so she doesn't learn the truth. She then brings him to Joe's Diner, where her father, Dan Twelvetrees, now learns that Harry is an alien. Harry is still in big trouble however, and he tells them that they have to amputate his leg to save his life.

Meanwhile, Ben Hawthorne once again shows bad judgment and ends up taking dating advice from Sheriff Mike, who encourages him to be more assertive with his wife Kate. This results in a failed anniversary date and Kate has a bathroom encounter with government agent Lisa Casper.
