Reboundability is one of the stranger super-powers. It represents an individual's ability to literally bounce like a ball. Applications of this power may involve some measure of kinetic energy transference, which can be used to increase speed and momentum. The individual using this power is usually immune to the effects of this power, which is to say, they can rebound their bodies against solid objects without causing undue harm to themselves. While it is a rather silly ability on the surface, it can be used for great strategic effect when combating opposing forces, especially in close quarters. It can be useful for incapacitating multiple targets in quick succession whether they be enemy combatants or mechanical constructs such as security cameras in a room.

In DC Comics continuity, Chuck Taine of the Legion of Super-Heroes possesses ability as his primary power. As such, he goes by the code-name of Bouncing Boy. Bouncing Boy even once traveled to a world populated by small bouncing critters. [1] Another character with this power is Plastic Man, who uses reboundability as a sub-application of elasticity. Another elastic-based DC character is Ralph Dibny, the Elongated Man, though he rarely, if ever, uses his application of the power.

In Marvel Comics, Robbie Baldwin, aka Speedball, uses a kinetic energy field to duplicate the effects of this power, enabling him to rebound his body against multiple surfaces in quick succession. The alien known as Impy the Impossible Man is a shape-shifter who also uses this power.

In Winne-the-Pooh, the character of Tigger can bounce on his back-side by coiling his tail and bouncing repeatedly.
