One character named Ralph was a mental patient at the Alamance Memorial Hospital. An orderly was attempting to calm him down when Cliff Steele and Will Magnus were descending the staircase on their way towards leaving the building. (Doom Patrol Vol 2 19) Ralph later became aware of the Scissormen, which drove him into an even greater state of mania. He leaped through the window of the hospital and died from the fall. (Doom Patrol Vol 2 20)
