"Rainbow" Rodney is a fictional clown and a minor character featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He is part of the New 52 continuity and is associated with the Batman line of titles. He appeared in flashback in Batgirl, Volume 4 #20 in July, 2013.
Biography[]
Rainbow Rodney was a professional clown, puppeteer and ventriloquist who operated out of Gotham County. He was hired to perform at children's birthday parties and such. Rodney performed at one party where he met a guest named Shauna Belzer. Shauna was upset over being mistreated by the other kids, so Rodney entertained her with his puppet and told her to "turn that frown upside down". Shauna used this tactic to poison all of the other children. She then "convinced" Rainbow Rodney to "give" her the puppet, which she then named Ferdie. What became of Rainbow Rodney following this event is unknown.
