Biography[]
Quarsh Panaka was a human native of the planet Naboo. In the waning years of the Galactic Republic, he was a captain in Naboo Royal Security Forces, and operated out of the capital city of Theed. He took his position very seriously, and was exceedingly loyal to the reigning authoritative body at the time. During the Blockade of Naboo incident orchestrated by the Trade Federation, Captain Panak safe-guarded Naboo's elected queen, Padmé Amidala. When the queen was forced to evacuate Naboo, Captain Panaka accompanied her in exile, which brought her to the planet Tatooine. Returning to the planet with the Queen, Captain Panaka led his forces in armed revolt against the Trade Federation's occupation and their army of B1 battle droids.
When Naboo politician, and later Chancellor of the Republic, Palpatine, reformatted the Republic as the First Galactic Empire, Panaka remained loyal to the establishment. Palpatine appointed him as the Moff of his region.
