Pylea is a fictional Hell dimension featured in the WB Network television series Angel, which is part of the greater "Buffyverse" franchise. It first appeared in the season two episode "Belonging". It made four appearances in the series in total, but was expanded upon in related licensed works.
Pylea is an alternate dimension and an adjunct of a demonic Hell dimension. It exists in its own sphere of reality seperate from that of other dimension, and boasts laws of physics that run counter to most conventional realities. The terrain of Pylea bears similarities to European Earth during the Medieveal era, with small villages populated by both demon and human peasantry. The demon nobility was made up of a clan structure, such as the Deathwok Clan. The demonic law firm known as Wolfram & Hart - represented by the aspects of the Wolf, the Ram, and the Hart, had influence in the Pylean social structure through a sect of priests known as the Covenant of Trombli.
Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan - also known simply as Lorne, hailed from the dimenson of Pylea. An Earth human, Winifred Burkle, was trapped in Pylea for five years. The Groosalugg was a champion warrior in Pylea.
