The Puzzler is a fictional super-criminal and a minor antagonist featured in the 1966 live-action television series Batman. Played by actor Maurice Evans, he first appeared in the thirty-first episode of season two, "The Puzzles are Coming" as the special guest villain. He also appeared in "The Duo Is Slumming".
Biography[]
The Puzzler was a gimmick-based criminal with a keen intellect and high ambition. He enjoyed toying with superheroes Batman and Robin as well as the Gotham City Police Department by baiting them into investigating his most recent schemes by sending them puzzles for them to figure out. The Puzzler also had an affinity for aviation and staged many of his crimes using aviation technology. The Puzzler had several henchmen including Glider, Ramjet, Blimpy, and Rocket.
