Punkusians are a fictional race of aliens featured in comic books published by Fawcett Publications and later by DC Comics. They first appeared in Captain Marvel Adventures #22 in March, 1943.
Description[]
Punkusians are a sentient reptilian race that hail from the planet Punkus. They resemble anthropomorphic crocodiles. As such, the race has been colloquially referred to as "Crocodile Men".
Herkimer was a member of the Punkusian race from the planet Punkus. Coming to Earth, he became a member of the Monster Society of Evil and was second in command to the group's leader, Mister Mind. Herkimer took control of the society during a time when Mister Mind had lost his memory. When the group ultimately disbanded, the various villains went their separate ways. Herkimer went to join a carnival sideshow.
