Pumpkinhead is a fictional monster and the eponymous antagonist of the Pumpkinhead film series. The creature was created by Stan Winston and first appeared in the 1988 horror movie Pumpkinhead, as well as its subsequent sequels, and its various comic book and video game adaptations.
Biography[]
The entity known colloquially as "Pumpkinhead", is a demonic creature that serves as an instrument of vengeance for those that summon it. Summoning Pumpkinhead is done through mystical ritualism and requires one who has at least some passing knowledge of the occult. When someone dies, their spirit may be bound to Pumpkinhead, and he will rise from the netherworld to exact revenge against those responsible for the death of the victim. Pumpkinhead can only kill those who he was summoned to kill.
