Psionic projection is a lower form of telepathy. It represents the ability to project visual pictograms of a specific location or event into the mind of another person. The Mutants that lived in the ruins of New York City of 40th century Earth as seen in the Planet of the Apes film series possessed this ability. They could telepathically project images into the minds of their human captives, John Brent and Nova.
An altogether different type of mutant character, Artie Maddicks from the Marvel Comics series X-Factor could also transmit images from his mind, but these visual representations took form in the open air so that anybody who was present could perceive them.
