Pseudo-vampires are beings that bear characteristics similar to that of a vampire, but are not in fact true vampires. They should also be distinguished from half-vampires, which are also known as Dhampirs. Pseudo-vampires differ from traditional vampires in that they are usually living beings, and not undead. They may also originate from a world other than Earth, which also distinguishes them from traditional vampires. One notable example, Michael Morbius, is a self-proclaimed "Living Vampire", as his condition was brought about via scientific processes. One trait that appears to common among all variations of vampires is the need to sustain oneself through the consumption of human blood.
