Biography[]
Priscilla Ridley grew up in the neighborhood of Harlem in New York City, New York. As a young woman, she attended college where she became sorority sisters with Mariah Dillard. The two would maintain a loose acquaintance with one another for many years to come, particularly after Mariah became a city councilwoman.
Priscilla eventually became an inspector for the New York City Police Department. When everyone on Harlem believed that Luke Cage was responsible for several murders and assaults, including an incriminating dashcam video showing him attacking two police officers, Priscilla made capturing him priority number one. A crime boss named Willis Stryker took control of the Harlem's Paradise night club, and took several hostages. During negotiations, some hostages were released. Priscilla heard their statements and began to turn a corner in her belief that Luke Cage was the villain everyone made him out to be.
During the whole Willis Stryker affair, Ridley admonished detective Misty Knight for her aggressive treatment of two witnesses, the first of whom was Claire Temple, who insulted Misty while being questioned. The second was Mariah Dillard, whom Misty came close to assaulting after learning that Mariah had a hand in the murder of Candace Miller.
