Biography[]
Known only as Princess Pantha, this woman worked as an animal trainer for the National Circus, owned by Gilt-Edge Gates. Upon learning about the possible existence of a mythological giant gorilla, Pantha joined a safari expedition to the village of Tahoua in Africa. Members of her expedition were attacked and killed by members of the Kodu Tribe. The warriors were striking and notable because of their prodigious height. The rest of the expedition were killed, and Pantha was the last among them. As one warrior attempted to strangle her, she activated a loud-speaker, which projected recorded noises of gorillas. This prompted the roar of the fabled giant gorilla, which scared the Kodu away. Left to her own devices, Pantha spent the next two months by herself in the jungle, honing her survival skills and her ability to fight. Gilt-Edge Gates hired an explorer named Dane Hunter to rescue her, but Dane ended up being captured himself by the Kodu. When Pantha learned of this, she led a herd of elephants into the Kodu village, decimating it. She rescued Dane and together they continued to explore the wilds of French West Africa. [1]
