- As a teenager, Princess Diana had to earn the right to wear her traditional costume by succeeding in various feats. The origin of Wonder Woman's costume was presented in the "Wonder Woman, Amazon Teen-Ager" story from Wonder Woman #107 in July, 1959.
- Since the beginning, Wonder Woman's classic red halter top always boasted an image of a bird with scaled plumage across the breasts. With Wonder Woman, Volume 1 #288, this designed was replaced with a stylized letter "W".
