Biography[]
Sue was a young woman from the town of Crested Butte in Gunnison County, Colorado. She was in late-stage pregnancy and was admitted to the maternity ward of the Red Matheson Medical Center. In October, 2004, a Xenomorph/Yautja hybrid alien colloquially known as a "Predalien" rampaged through the hospital seeking prey and/or suitable host forms for its offspring. Unlike its Xenomorph progenitor, the Predalien had the ability to reproduce by implanting Xenomorph embryos from its mouth into a victim's body. The host must already be pregnant so that the embryos can bond to something. Pregnant Sue was one of the Predalien's victims. She died when the alien's "bellyburster" offspring violently exited her body through the abdomen. [1]
Notes & Trivia[]
- The character of Pregnant Sue was created by directors Colin Strause & Greg Strause and screenwriter Shane Salerno.
- The character is identified as Pregnant Sue in the film's credits. Hopefully, none of her friends and family actually referred to her as "Pregnant Sue". Guess its all a moot point though.
- Actress Victoria Bidewell receives thirty-first billing in Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem.
- Pregnant Sue is the second of two characters killed by Bellybursters in Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem. The first is Carrie Adams, who dies in the diner where she worked.
- Obviously, with the death of Sue, her unborn human children died as well.
- The father of Sue's children is unknown. If he was a resident of Crested Butte, he likely died when the military launched a low-yield nuclear weapon that destroyed the town.
- Actress Victoria Bidewell was actually pregnant during the shooting of her scenes.
