A Predator plasma pistol is a fictional item featured in the Predator multimedia franchise. It first appeared in in February, 1990.
Description[]
The plasma pistol is a hand-held plasma based energy weapon utilized by the Yautja race. It is similar in mechanics and function to the plasmacaster, but has a lower energy yield and is not shoulder-mounted.
History[]
In 2004, several plasma pistols were discovered inside an underground Predator temple in Bouveteya, Antarctica. The elder Yautja warrior Wolf used a plasma pistol as part of his arsenal when he came to Colorado to eradicate Xenomorph specimens. Wolf's pistol eventually fell into the hands of Dallas Howard, who used it as a tool for survival.
One pistol was recovered by the military following the Gunnison County incident and was given to Ms. Yutani of the Yutani Corporation.
In the far future, Yautjas used plasma pistols while hunting Xenomorphs on the planet Ryushi.
