- Preacher was created by comic book writer Garth Ennis and artist Steve Dillon. The Preacher comic book series was published by DC Comics under their Vertigo imprint and ran for sixty-six issues from 1995 to 2000.
- Preacher was developed for television by Sam Catlin, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg.
Allusions[]
- The title of this episode refers to the name of the formula that The Grail devises to make a host compatible to house the Genesis power. It is a combination of Thomas Jefferson, who was an American statesman, author of the Declaration of Independence and the third President of the United States. The other is Wayne Brady who is a stand-up comic best known for his improvisational work on the TV comedy sketch series Whose Line Is It Anyway?. The combined name "Tom Brady" may also refer to Tom Brady who is a professional football player, and the the quarterback for the New England Patriots.
