Prague is a European city and the capital of the Czech Republic. It is affectionately known as the City of a Hundred Spires, owing to the large number of castles found in the city. It was founded in the year 885 AD during the Romanesque era. It became the capital of Czechoslovakia following World War I.
Actor Vladimir Kulich was born in Prague on July 14th, 1956. He is known for playing Liakos in the "Gloves Off" episode of M.A.N.T.I.S. in 1994, and Olafsson in the "Død Kalm" episode of The X-Files in 1995.
Blade II, directed by Guillermo del Toro takes place almost entirely in Prague. A virulent strain of the vampire bloodline known as the Reaper virus has produced powerful creatures that can only sustain themselves by drinking the blood of other vampires. Fearing for their own survival, vampires find themselves in the unenviable position of teaming up with their worst enemy - the Daywalker known as Blade. Blade gets a taste of the seedier underbelly of Prague including grotesque fetishist night clubs that cater to very peculiar tastes.
On Buffy the Vampire Slayer, an evil vampire known as Angelus found a young catholic woman of perfect purity named Drusilla in Prague. Determined to destroy every shred of decency within her. He psychologically tormented her, and ultimately turned her into a vampire.

- The 2004 sci-fi/horror movie Alien vs. Predator was shot in Prague. Production on the film' began on October 24th, 2003. Principal filming concluded in February, 2004 and post-production was completed in April, 2004.
