Power armor is a general term that refers to a mechanized device, and/or the components thereof, that can be worn as a protective covering and usually possesses a number of additional features.
The most prominent component of power armor is its durability. They usually cover the wearer entirely and includes a helmet, metal plate chest coverings, sleeves, leggings, gauntlets and boots. Some power armors are equipped with thermal thrust capabilities that enables directional flight. Others may also include various targeting and weapons systems that are coordinated through a heads up display (HUD) inside the visor of a helmet.
