Power Ring's ring is a fictional piece of jewelry featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It first appeared in the "Crisis on Earth-Three" story from Justice League of America #29 in August, 1964.
Power Ring's ring was a mystical piece of jewelry that originated in the alternate reality known as Earth-Three. A Buddhist monk, or "Poonghie", named Volthoom gave the ring to a criminal who later took on the costumed guise of Power Ring. In addition to enabling him the ability to fly, it also created energy constructs that Power Ring could control. It also possessed the ability to open the dimensional barrier between worlds, allowing Power Ring and his comrades in the Crime Syndicate the ability to travel from Earth-Three to Earth-One. The Earth-One counterpart to Power Ring's ring was the Green Lantern ring worn by the super-hero Hal Jordan, aka Green Lantern. Because the ring was mystical in nature, its power was able to defeat Superman, who was vulnerable to magic.
