Power Rangers is an American feature film of the superhero fantasy and science fiction genres. It is based on the popular Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers multimedia franchise by Saban Entertainment. The film was directed by Dean Israelite with a screenplay written by John Gatins based on a story treatment by the team of Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless, Michele Mulroney, and Kieran Mulroney. The film was produced by Saban and Lions Gate Entertainment and released theatrically in the United States on March 24th, 2017.
