The Pope's Exorcist is an American feature film of the demonic possession subgenre of horror and is inspired by actual events. It was directed by Julius Avery with a screenplay written by Michael Petroni, Evan Spiliotopoulos, R. Dean McCreary, Chester Hastings and Jeff Katz. It was produced by Screen Gems, 2.0 Entertainment and Loyola Productions. It was released in Europe on April 5th, 2023. It premiered in the United States & Canada on April 14th, 2023. The film stars Russell Crowe as a hyperbolized version of Father Gabriel Amorth of the Vatican - a man devoted towards kicking every ass in the room until he saves your soul! Taking up the role of "Robin" to Father Gabriel's "Batman" is Daniel Zovatto as Father Esquibel. That's right boys ad girls... the Power of POPE Compels You!
