A police car is a car that is used by law-enforcement personnel. The models vary, but they are usually easily distinguishible from other vehicles, owing largely by clearly recognizable markings, plus they got those big red and blue lights on top that being flashing every time you change lanes in an intersection. Every district that has a functioning police force makes use of police squad cars. Unless you live back in the 1800s, in which case you have to use a horse. This includes municipal police departments as well as county sheriffs and state troopers.
