The Kitty Kat Caper is the first vignette from episode twelve of the Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show. It is the twenty-third Plastic Man feature in the series overall. It first aired on ABC on Saturday morning on December 8th, 1979.
Synopsis[]
The kostumed kriminal known as Kitty Katt konducts a krime kircus out of Kleveland (okay, enough of that). Kitty Katt can shape-shift into various felines and uses her eye-zap whammy on wealthy people of interest, turning them into cats as well. Plas, Penny and Hula Hula are called in to deal with felonious feline. They try to infiltrate Kitty Katt's circus as performers, but she is immediately on to them. During the show, she releases the animals from their cages. Plas corals them by shape-shifting into a giant cage with bars.
Failing to capture Kitty Katt, they track her next scheme to Istanbul. Kitty Katt is prepared for them however and uses her magic dust to turn him into an ocelot. The ocelot escapes, but Kitty Katt's goons manage to recapture it, but not before Plas-ocelot manages to hide inside of a circus tent and paint a warning to Penny and Hula-Hula with its tail. Penny and Hula eventually learn that Plas is now an ocelot. They return to Kitty Katt's lair where they learn about the potion that the villain uses to turn other people into cats. After she leaves, Penny sneaks in, takes the last drop of the potion of herself, transforms into a cat, and then uses the inherited magical powers to turn Plas back to normal before returning to normal herself (yeah, I know, it don't make any sense, just roll with it).
They return to the Plas-jet to reconstitute themselves and re-plan. They fly to India where Kitty Katt intends on kidnapping the Maharaja. Penny and Hula-Hula manage to trap the two henchmen inside of a circus cage. Kitty Katt tries to escape, but Penny and Hula launch Plas from a cannon. He glides until he reaches Kitty Katt. She tries to use her powers on Plastic Man, but she doesn't have enough magic potion to pull the trick off. Plastic Man finally captures her.
