Planet of the Apes is an American ongoing comic book series of the science fiction and adventure genres. It is based on the popular Planet of the Apes multimedia franchise produced by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation. This is the fourth series based on the franchise and the third series to bear the title Planet of the Apes. The book was published by Malibu Graphics under their Adventure Comics imprint and ran for twenty-four issues from April 1990 to July 1992.

• This series was produced in association with the Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation.

• Issue #1 shipped with a card-stock half-cover. The first printing card-stock was pink. The second-printing card-stock was yellow.
