Piper was a British thug from Jersey, England and the partner of a man named Ian. While undertaking a mission to England, Green Arrow and Black Canary ran afoul of the two goons and, mistakenly believing them to be aliens, knocked them out. Oliver Queen frisked them and tied them up. (Green Arrow and Black Canary 7)
Marvel Universe[]
Piper was a mutant and a member of the Morlocks who lived in The Alley beneath New York City. He had the ability to control animals, but this power was focused through a flute that he would play. Piper used his power to summon alligators, which he used to trap members of Power Pack. (Power Pack 11) He later found a giant bullfrog leaping threw the sewers. He did not realize that it was actually Thor Odinson, who had been turned into a frog due to Loki Laufeyson's magicks. He summoned the frog with his flute, and Thor (or "Throg") was forced to comply. Unfortunately, the summons caused him to leap towards three very hungry alligators. (Thor 364)
