The Pig Man is a fictional demented murderer and a secondary antagonist featured in the greater Terrifier film series. Played by actor Andrew Mahler, he appeared in the 2008 film short The 9th Circle. Andrew's scenes were also incorporated into the first vignette from the 2013 anthology film All Hallows' Eve.

Biography[]

Almost nothing is known about this individual other than that he is called the Pig Man, and even that is a mysterious moniker as he has nothing in common with a pig. The Pig Man is a horribly deformed brutish man who is associated with a Satanic cult that exists in the Ninth Circle of Hell, which seemingly intersects the real world beneath the Realmsville station.

Several women had been abducted by the cult's agent, Art the Clown, and brought down into a dungeon-like series of underground tunnels. It is possible that the Pig Man may have attacked and murdered a woman named Sara, who was violently yanked into the shadows never to be seen again. When Sara's fellow abductees Kristen and Casey went to investigate, the Pig Man leaped out from the shadows. He attacked Kristen, mounting her and hacking at her multiple times with a meat cleaver until she was dead.

Equipment[]

Chains: The Pig Man wore some chains draped across his body. Their usage is unknown. Perhaps he was tasked with physically bonding the female victims that Art the Clown sedated.
Meat cleaver: It is possible that the Pig Man uses other tools and weapons as well, but the meat cleaver appears to be his preferred weapon of choice.

Actor Andrew Mahler is also credited as a "bug wrangler" in The 9th Circle. Presumably, he wrangled the cockroach that appears in the bouquet of fake flowers that Art the Clown gives to Casey in the beginning of the vignette.
Playing the role of the Pig Man and serving as a bug wrangler on the film short is Andrew Mahler's only known work in film.
