Pheromone control is a superpower which refers to an individual's ability to produce and control pheromones. It can increase the attractiveness of the caster and may even serve as a lower form of mind control.
In DC Comics, the costumed supervillain known as Poison Ivy possesses this power. She has demonstrated this ability numerous times in the Batman family of comic titles in her ongoing efforts to seduce and/or control her nemesis, Batman. This power has also been demonstrated in Batman: The Animated Series as well as the 1997 film Batman and Robin where Ivy temporarily manipulated the actions of Batman's ward, Robin. Robin eventually tricked Ivy however by wearing a set of wax lips, so when Ivy attempted to seduce him by kissing him, it failed to work. In the "Hush" storyline from Batman issues 611-612, Poison Ivy used her pheromone control in combination with kryptonite lipstick to control the mind of Superman.
In Marvel Comics, the primate mutant known as the Mandrill has the ability to secrete powerful pheromones that can turn any woman, regardless of their strength of will into his unwilling slave. The pheromones have a maximum effective range of 250 feet and are highly addictive. If, however, the woman s removed form his presence after the initial contact, she will go through a mild period of "withdrawal" and be free after a period of a few months.
In the Star Wars multimedia franchise, the alien race known as the Zeltrons possess pheromone control as one of their native abilities. This is why they are always regarded as such a social and sexually aggressive species.
