Peter Pan is an American animated feature film of the adventure, fantasy and family genres of speculative fiction. It is based on a 1904 play, Peter and Wendy, authored by J.M. Barrie. It was directed by the team of Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson & Hamilton Luske with a story collectively written by Bill Cottrell, Ted Sears, Erdman Penner, Bill Peet, Winston Hibler, Joe Rinaldi, Milt Banta and Ralph Wright. It was produced by Walt Disney Productions and RKO Radio Pictures. It premiered theatrically in the United States on February 5th, 1953. It was then screened at the Cannes Film Festival in France on April 15th, 1953 and then in London, England on April 17th, 1953. The movie features the voice talents of Bobby Driscoll as Peter Pan, Kathryn Beaumont as Wendy Darling, Hans Conried as Captain Hook, and Paul Collins & Tommy Luske as brothers John and Michael Darling.
