The Penguin is an American television miniseries of the crime drama genre. It is based on characters and concepts relating to the Batman family of comic book titles published by DC Comics. This series is a spin-off of the 2022 feature film The Batman and takes place in the same continuity as the movie. The program was developed for television by Lauren LeFranc, who served as the series showrunner. It was produced by Warner Bros. Discovery, Warner Bros. Television, DC Entertainment, 6th & Idaho Productions, Dylan Clark Productions and Chapel Place Productions. It aired on HBO Max from September 19th to November 10th, 2024, spanning a total of eight episodes.

- The Penguin was created by writer Bill Finger and artist Bob Kane. He was introduced in the first story from Detective Comics #58 in December, 1941 in a tale called "One of the Most Perfect Frame-Ups". Classically known by his actual name, Oswald C. Cobblepot, the Penguin has proven to be one of the infamous and enduring foes of the Batman and has appeared in every form of related media including feature films, animated movies & TV programs, and video games. The version of the character seen in The Batman and The Penguin is named Oswald "Oz" Cobb.
