Pedar Solardo is a fictional security guard featured in the Star Wars multimedia franchise. He first appeared in the 1980 film Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
Biography[]
Pedar Solardo was an adult human male from the planet Bespin. He was a member of the Bespin Wing Guard stationed out of Cloud City. In 3 ABY, Pedar Solardo answered to the city's Baron Administrator, Lando Calrissian, and often received instruction through Lando's aide, Lobot.
The First Galactic Empire set up an occupation in Cloud City as part of a strategy to capture key figures in the Rebel Alliance, namely Luke Skywalker. It was led by Darth Vader, and also included freelance bounty hunter, Boba Fett.
Members of the Bespin Wing Guard attended Lando Calrissian as he greeted Alliance leaders Leia Organa and Han Solo, as well as Chewbacca and C-3PO at Platform 327. They did not alert the Alliance members as to the Empire's presence in Cloud City.
During the occupation, Lando Calrissian decided to turn the tide against the Empire and had Lobot issue a strategy to ambush an Imperial unit that were transporting Leia, Chewbacca, and R2-D2 to Vader's shuttle. [1]
