Biography[]
In the 1960s, Paul McGuire was the gay lover of Alexander Burgess and was the second-in-command in the Order of Ancient Mysteries. By this era, the Order had descended from being a reputable scholarly group and had become a hippie sex cult.
By 1970, Burgess had fallen into a state of great despondency. He handed control of the Order completely over to Paul McGuire.
In 1988, Alexander Burgess checked on the imprisoned Lord of Dreams - Morpheus, who had been held captive in a chamber at Fawny Rig since the time of Alex's father, Roderick Burgess first established the Order. Alexander unwittingly broke the containment circle surrounding Morpheus' glass cage. At which point, Morpheus collapsed, seemingly dead. Paul unlocked the glass dome to check on him. As soon as he did so, Morpheus blew sand into his face and escaped.
What became of Paul McGuire following these events is unknown.
