Biography[]
Paul Carpenter was a farmer who lived in Devil's Lake, North Dakota in the early 1930s. He had a wife named Lindy and a fully-grown daughter named Beverly.
In 1934, Paul became possessed by an evil entity known as the Devil's Heart. He killed the family dog Penny and attempted to strangle Lindy. Lindy escaped from him, but died in the snow outside their home. As other locals became possessed by the Devil's Heart, Paul joined them in attempting to use Beverly as part of a sacrifice to the Devil's Heart. Dracula intervened and killed the Heart. Paul recovered enough of his own identity that he decided to take his own life by stabbing himself in the stomach.
