Papa Sugar's Voodoo Shop is a fictional location featured in comic books published by Devil's Due Publishing. It made a single appearance in the Hack/Slash vs. Chucky one-shot special in March, 2007.
Papa Sugar's Voodoo Shop was owned and operated by a man who called himself Papa Sugar, which also served as his primary residence. It was located in New Orleans, Louisiana, and specialized in the sale of occult items relating to voodoo. Most of Papa Sugar's wares related to "fake" voodoo as what people might come to expect based on what they see in Hollywood films, though he did maintain a supply of actual voodoo components in the back of the store.
An occultist named Laura Lochs came to Papa Sugar's, where she acquired the Heart of Damballa amulet, which would enable her to migrate her soul from her existing body into another. She warned Papa Sugar that a woman named Cassie Hack might come asking about her, and suggested that he should "have some fun" with her.
When Cassie arrived, inquiring about Laura, Papa Sugar sprayed her in the face with a paralytic that left her unable to move. His intention was to sexually assault her, but what Sugar didn't realize was that Cassie had teamed up with Chucky, which was a Good Guys doll possessed by the spirit of deceased serial killer Charles Lee Ray. Chucky tried using a voodoo doll on Papa Sugar, but when that didn't work, he picked up a nail gun and shot him multiple times. After killing Sugar, Chucky injected Cassie with a serum that reversed the paralytic.
