Biography[]
Panthro was on monitor duty in the Control Center at Cats' Lair when an energy bat appeared in the room and attacked him. Panthro fought back with his nunchaku, but this proved ineffective for the energy bat was actually Mumm-Ra in disguise. Taking advantage of the element of surprise, Mumm-Ra used his sorcery to mentally enslave Panthro. After doing likewise to Cheetara, Tygra and the kittens, he then had his slaves attack Lion-O. Eventually Lion-O was able to break Mumm-Ra's hold over Panthro and free his friends. [1]
Notes & Trivia[]
- The character of Panthro was created by Ted Wolf and series staff writer Leonard Starr.
- According to Mumm-Ra, the energy bat is the only creature on Third Earth that Panthro fears. [2]
- While being mind-controlled by Mumm-Ra, Panthro was given the ability to project beams of red force energy. [3]
