Pain inducement is the ability to cause physical pain to others by way of supernatural or psychokinetic means. This is different than just popping someone in the nose. Those who possess this ability can trigger it to affect an intended target remotely. This power may be possessed by psychics, mutants, witches or sorcerers.
In Scanners, the mentally unbalanced Darryl Revok used this ability to cause the head of another Scanner to explode. He also used it to get into a mental war with a rival named Cameron Vale. In Damien: Omen II, 12-year-old Damien Thorn used it to give his cousin Mark Thorn a fatal aneurysm. In The Monkey, a cursed toy monkey caused Lois Shelburn to suffer a similar fate in front of her young son, Bill.
