Pack 2426 is a fictional organization featured in the Resident Evil multimedia franchise. It appeared in the pilot episode of the Resident Evil streaming series titled "Welcome to New Raccoon City".
Description[]
Pack 2426 is the name designated to a herd of viral infected mutations known as "zeroes". In 2035 and 2036, Jade Wesker had conducted an exhaustive 161-day observation study of the pack in the ruined environs of what used to be London, England. Using a rabbit as bait, she set the animal down in a central location and watched as the zeroes chased after it. She noted in her studies that the pack appeared to have no sign of leadership structure or even higher brain function.
While conducting her observation, Jade sliced her arm open on a jagged piece of doorframe. The zeroes from Pack 2426 immediately caught her scent and frantically began running in her direction. Aware of the security measures that had been set up in the area, Jade ran through a protective circle. As the zeroes entered, they activated a ring of flamethrowers that set them all on fire. After the fuel from the flame weapons were depleted, the triggers issued forth a red chemical that rendered the burning zeroes inert. Jade was frustrated that she would no longer be able to conduct further study on this particular pack.
