Oz: The Wizard is a one-shot comic book special of the fantasy genre. The story was written by Dave Franchini based on a plot developed by Franchini, Joe Brusha, and Ralph Tedesco. It was illustrated by Marcelo Mueller with coloring by Marco Lesko and lettering by Saida Temofonte. The story was edited by Jessica Rossana with Dave Franchini as assistant editor. This issue shipped with a May, 2018 cover date and carries a cover price of $5.99 per copy (US).
Oz has been rule by the Wicked Witches, sieged by The Warlord, and even corrupted by the dark magic of Zamora, yet it still stands. Now the dawn of a new age of Oz has arrived. There is calm in the lands, happiness in its homes, but a shadow is creeping into the hearts and minds of its citizens and with it comes a new evil. Oz must prepare for a battle that will determine the face of the soul of the Emerald Kingdom, when The Wizard makes his move!
